Constituency burst into happiness as the National government
through Kenya National Highways Authority(KeNHA) finally invites bides for
the construction and tarmacking of Ugunja- Ruambwa Roads, a road
which has for decades been impassable during rainy seasons.
This National government project will include the construction of the C192, E6056, and D1120 link roads. That is, the tarmacking of the Ugunja-Ruambwa Roads including the link roads to Sega and Got Nanga.
This major breakthrough has been achieved following the intensive lobbying by the area leaders.
The residents who spoke to NyanzaOnline expressed their joy ssaying the road will ease movement of persons “especially for mothers who need emergency medical care.”
Speaking on the matter, Daniel Juma, who also played a very key role in lobbying for this project through his Dongruok Dala CBO, termed it a big boost to the regions economy
“The construction of this road will open up this region for Business. Once these roads are done, taxpaying people of Ugenya will be happy and will work even harder to develop their community.”, he said.
He also applauded the government for heeding their calls of having this road tarmacked.
"Once basic infrastructures like roads are fixed, the people will do the rest. I congratulate the Ministry of Transport, CS Macharia & KeNHA for this.”, Daniel added
